| Day 3. Echuca on the Murray River 11.30am. Unfortunately another friend of mine Brian Woolbridge wasn't available on the day we arrived in Echuca. Brian and his wife Carol run the Murray River Aquarium situated at 640 High St, Echuca. Brian is a crayfish expert and has had many years experience in crayfish farming. His display is adjacent to the Echuca wharves, which have been restored to their former glory. This is really like stepping back in time. |

| This is a handy travelling tip. You have to be very careful here in Australia, we
have some very big wombats. Some yocals call them speed humps cause they help to slow you down. On the right is
a picture of one of these wombats with James and Olivia, don't worry they are pretty friendly. Then again is that a wombat? I thought they were furry. |

| Moama Murray River NSW 4pm, This is a bit like the X-Files with this date and time stuff Well here we are, we made it. For over 18 months we had talked about fishing on the Murray River for Murray crayfish. It was hard to believe we were on our way. Below is an assortment of nets, some are used for yabbies, some for crayfish and some for freshwater shrimp. Of course they work better in the river. And the next day was proof of that. |
