| Day 5. Powelltown, Victoria 7.45am Well again in search of more yabbies, unfortunately there was alot of rain over night and that meant the rivers would be swollen making the catching of the Yarra crayfish difficult. So instead of going home empty handed we crossed onto the Gippsland side of the range and went in search of Engaeus species. I had caught Engaeus there before but never had them formally identified. |

And persistance pays off, Chris found 3 specimens in a very short time. |
Engaeus quadrimanus, identified by Pierre Horwitz, thank you Pierre! |

Chris' reward a good Aussie breakfast, at left back home again, Renate with a very large Cherax destructor ( Yabby ) |

| Epping Victoria 7pm My birthday and a kind of farewell party for my friends Chris and Renate. Seeing Chris is in a band I thought I should dress for the occasion. Chris is the bass player with Atrocity in Germany and he was very popular with several of our younger friends. I think everyone needs live music at their parties. |
Renate is a hairdresser |
