| Alex is a biologist, with post-gradation in Animal Biology (M. Sc.) at Federal University from
Rio Grande do Sul, located in Porto Alegre, capital of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. He was born in Porto
Alegre, but at the moment he lives in the city of Ilhéus, State of Bahia (Brazil north east), where he works
at Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz. In his M. S., he studied occurrence of intersexuality and hermaphroditism,
two quite common phenomena in South American parastacid species. |
