| I recently received these photos and text (in white) from Danny in Indonesia. This could be a new species Black spotted Crayfish (Cherax Sp.) from southern Irian Jaya , living in the smaller streams of semi running water or surrounding wet land along big rivers. |

Danny believes they are undescribed, I couldn't help but notice the similarity with Australian Redclaw Cherax quadricinatus,
The red part on the red claw only occurs on the male, I wonder if that's the case here; with this possible long lost cousin? |
